30-378shtr Report post Posted July 17, 2009 I hate to do it, but I need to sell my baby. This is one true long range rifle that will drive tacks! It started out as a factory Weatherby Accumark chambered in 30-378 wby mag and I have done the following: 1. Timney Trigger set to about 1-1.5 lb. 2. Custom Pac-Nor Palma 30" barrel 1:9" twist 3. Custom Muzzle Brake by Bruce McArthur (he makes them for the Chey-tac .408 and some military) 4. Action trued when barrel was put on I just shot this group this morning: 1/4" 3 shot (same hole/2shots on bottom hole) with FACTORY 165gr. It's putting out about 3600fps with 180gr bullet and 3766 with 165 (Chrono'd this morning). The barrel and brake are bare stainless steel as I was planning on Cerekote the whole thing. It also comes with the Pentax 30MM tube 4-16x50. Not a Swaro, Nightforce, etc but still a decent scope. Well over $3500 invested, looking for $1900 obo or $1700 without scope! Thanks, Call Shane @ 480-244-6574 (Arizona)

30-378shtr Report post Posted July 18, 2009 I've got MAYBE 40 rounds through it since I had the new barrel put on. Used it two years ago on my deer hunt and did some load workups and that's it.

GameHauler Report post Posted July 18, 2009 If you would be interested in a trade I now have Larks 270 that I would take a partial trade of your 30-378 plus cash for it As you can see Lark had put it together with the best accessories available at the time that the 270 was considered a good round. Sorry but I could not part with the AWESOME 7MM-08 that made the 270 past history. Let me know and I will treat you fair since I know you like relics. Really, Look, Windage, angle and cant all built in
