jl4431 Report post Posted July 16, 2009 I've been looking at the unidaptor binocular adaptor, as well as the outdoorsmans binocular adaptor, and I have some questions. The outdoorsmans adaptor looks pretty straight forward, but looking at the picture I really can't figure out the unidaptor version. Does anyone have any experience with either of them on functionality or use? They are about a 1/4 of what the outdoorsman adaptor cost, so they definitely have a leg up there. I will be using them on 10+15 Duovids. Thanks, Jody
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted July 16, 2009 It is hard to figure out from the picture, but basically the little round part in the pic goes on the front of the hinge between the barrels. That little round part has a threaded hole that you can then screw the post into and then the shorter barrel screws on to your tripod head plate. Then the post that is attached to your binos slips into the receiver barrel on your tripod head. As with anything I sell, if you don't like it, you can return it for a refund. But I think you will find it works very well. Amanda

CouesWhitetail Report post Posted July 17, 2009 One more quick question, what is the allen wrench for? You don't have to use it everytime do you? Thanks No, you don't have to use it everytime. The allen wrench is provided to put the little round part on to make a threaded hole for the adapter to go into. Amanda
jl4431 Report post Posted July 24, 2009 Amanda, I sent an order your way for the adapter. If you don't see, please let me know. Thanks for your help. Jody
Siwash Report post Posted July 24, 2009 I have both...and the Outdoorsman adapter is sweet, but not 3x or 4x's the money sweet. They both offer a good, stable platform off a tripod and they both make it really easy to disconnect your optics and get on the move in a hurry. You'll be happy with the Unidaptor.
