second shot Report post Posted July 9, 2009 Found these last weekend. The matched set is from this year and the single is from last year I'm guessing.

second shot Report post Posted July 9, 2009 AzP&Y-Thanks. Those boots you posted a couple weeks ago looked nice but how comfortable are they on long hikes? I have some of the wrap around snake guards, I just forgot to wear them last time. I did see two snakes last weekend. One western and one black tail, I was able to keep my distance this time though. AZP&Y Report post Posted July 9, 2009 AzP&Y-Thanks. Those boots you posted a couple weeks ago looked nice but how comfortable are they on long hikes? Well to be honest, they are some stiff ones for sure. I recently purchased some underarmour baseball wicking socks to try to help with the heat factor. The shank is pretty stiff, but I'm about 5 miles into the boots and am slowly seeing them get broken in. I think it will definetely take some more time. The snake guards are probably the most comfortable way to go, especially for long hikes. Glad you were able to steer clear of the serpents! Thanks for sharing- love the match sets! cramerhunts Report post Posted July 10, 2009 Great finds for sure, really neat character on the single. Congrats. I wear the wrap around leggins as well and so far they've worked good. I had one stike me in the shin last weekend and fortunatelly all it did was give me one heck of a scare. Phil

second shot Report post Posted July 10, 2009 The matched set was about 150 - 200 yards apart. I found the two point first and was not expecting to find the match. I was circling around and getting ready to head back to the truck when I found the 3pt side upside down in a bush. Almost missed it.
