Well the me and the fam packed up a couple weeks ago and headed to the Telluride area for some camping and fishing. I absolutly love this part of CO and am amazed at the country up there. He had a great time and got in a little fishing in between the rain.

Camp was at 11,300 feet and we got in at 11:30PM on Thursday night. We woke up to this in the morning.

I had my tripod set up in camp and glassed up quite a few deer and elk above treeline, all girls though.

Those are outstanding pics WOODSAZ!! Thanks for sharing! I also posted some pics from a camping trip with the kids to Southern Utah! A couple of years ago we went to the Durango/Silverton area. Your post inspires me to explore Southern Colorado a bit more!

Awesome pics...I used to spend a week working a summer baseball camp in Telluride and stayed right on the San Miguel River. I looked forward to that week of "work" every year.

Awesome pictures. Thanks for sharing. I spent some time there a couple years ago playing Santa for the nephews and nieces and ice fished Trout Lake located just up over the pass from Telluride. Thanks for the reminder of how beautiful that country is. :D
