second shot Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Found these this morning. First fresh one of the year. The 2pt I found first. Glassed it up and on the way to get it I wasn't paying attention and almost stepped on a coiled up western. He was nice enough to rattle when I stepped about six inches in front of him. I must have jumped like ten feet. Seems like I'm cautious until I see a shed then I disregard everything to get to it. This has happened to me a lot, someday I'll learn or get bit. I was out yesterday and didn't see one of the slithering critters or sheds, but was on the lookout. I picked these up and I must say gave me a slight more piece of mind. I was tromping through some thick/nasty stuff too. They are a bit stiff, but I don't think I'll shed hunt without them. 79.00 bucks @ Sierra Trading post...
