tjhunt2 Report post Posted June 22, 2009 I started celebrating Father's Day over a week ago by taking my Dad to Roosevelt fishing 3 days, then all my sisters, brother, and myself had photos taken to present to him at our Father's Day fish fry at my house last night. I cooked fish for 3 & 1/2 hrs. We had a house full. I then volunteered to work 12hrs today for a co-worker so he could celebrate Father's Day with his family and will finish my Father's Day gift by taking him fishing Tuesday. I thank God I still have my Father and can still enjoy the time we have left. Did you guys do anything special for Father's Day or what did the kids have planned for you? My heart goes out to those who no longer have pops around. I hope everyone had a great day. Last week at Roosevelt Pop's 09 turkey got a little wet before the picture. 80 yrs old Dad drew a 22 late rifle bull tag. I'm blessed! TJ
DUG Report post Posted June 22, 2009 Great story TJ. I'm sure your Dad is thankful he has you, too. I took my 11 year old daughter to the Hunter Education field day at Rio Salado Sportmans Club on Sunday. She did the online course for the last 3 weeks and passed all her tests. She got her patch and diploma and soon she will have her permanent bonus point.

DUG Report post Posted June 23, 2009 TJ, she has a 6A jr. elk tag and we put her in for the 23 jr. deer hunt. She will be a busy girl this fall. Looks like you and your Dad should have a memorable elk hunt too.
