huntswnm Report post Posted June 15, 2009 Hi All, I was going through a bunch of my hunting gear and found some older bottles of Scent Killer. There is a date stamped on the bottom of the bottle but I don't know if that is an expiration date or not. Anyone have any suggestions? I would hate to throw it away cause its a little pricey, but I also don't want to be using something that may not be the best to use. jeff
jamaro Report post Posted June 15, 2009 I don't think so.... If there was some sort of chemical reaction causing the Scent Killer to deteriorate then the bottles would be forced to expand. I think it is a expiration date just like on a bottle of water. J

JMP Report post Posted June 16, 2009 i'd say it expires about 10 minutes after you put it on.
king4wd Report post Posted June 16, 2009 you guys spend money on that stuff. I used it last year on my pop's elk hunt and had 4 yotes come into our tank with the wind blowin' straight toward them. Don't know if it was the scent killer but it seemed like pretty dumb luck to fool 4 finely tuned coyote sniffers.
