Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 18, 2009 Jay, North and South Coyote Buttes areas look to be pretty locations. Need to buy a permit for the south, and be drawn for the north, with like 10% odds. When it ools in the fall, would like to head to South Coyote. I helped on a 12B hunt above the cliffs many years ago, but did not see the area in my photos. Are you going to be at Marshall Lake this weekend? Doug

Red Rabbit Report post Posted June 18, 2009 I did not see any bighorns there. That would have been pleasing. Didn't see any deer either. But mainly I was looking for photogenic rock and deep sand in the road. RR
azyoung Report post Posted June 19, 2009 Doug, Great pictures! WP is one of my favorite places in Arizona. I have walked those rocks many times, either tracking deer or swimming in the many water holes that fill during the monsoons. I hate to say it but that place is getting very popular. I remember when you could spend a long weekend up there and never see another person. Thanks for the great pics! azyoung

WOODSAZ Report post Posted July 1, 2009 Doug, Have you worked on any of those photos? With the shadows and lines they would probally make some great black and whites. Sorry i missed ya guys at Marshall, took the family up to Telluride for the weekend. Jay
Red Rabbit Report post Posted July 2, 2009 Jay, I have not worked on them. A neighbor (professional photographer) helped demonstrate with one photo with some layers to spot sharpen, tone, saturate etc. My goal is to get 12 good photos from Northern Arizona to make a 2010 calendar.
