KGAINES Report post Posted October 6, 2003 I HAVE NOT HAD A CHANCE TO SCOUT RECENTLY, BUT WITH MY HUNT AT THE END OF THE MONTH I CAN'T WAIT TO GET OUT. I HAD SCOUTED SEVERAL TIMES PRIOR TO THE ARCHERY HUNT, AND THEN DID NOT GET TO GO DOWN SOUTH FOR ARCHERY. I AM HOPING THAT SOME OF THE BUCKS WE SEEN ARE STILL IN THE SAME AREAS. coueshunter Report post Posted October 6, 2003 I went out for the saturday evening glassing session and sunday morning. I saw around 30 deer and 12 bucks. My son and I have the october hunt and it will be my sons first buck hunt so he and I were happy to stumble on a few shooters............the monsoon's were good to southern AZ and the animals all looked good. The bucks were all in velvet still but some were racking a little so any day now they will be stripping the velvet off..........best of luck to the early hunters.........Allen......
