I have some cheap canvas game bags and I thought I heard that canvas is junk for game bags. Whats the best stuff for game bags? Something the flies cant get into?

Junk are those 99 cent fishnet gauze bags.

Pillow cases work. What's wrong with a light canvas type bag that you can launder and reuse?

I 2nd the ultimate game bag. I'm going to add them to my pack this year for boning meat out in the field. Cut to the size needed and lighter.

 

Canvas is fine. I used to like the 72 in canvas bags Popular sold when they were in business, they would go completely over a deer whole after skinning and cutting the legs off. Handy and only 3.99. I have to make my own if I want those anymore.

Army surplus military mattress bags work great for game bags.

I have the ones that Sportsman sell for $9.99 and they are the greatest game bag I have bought. The size are great and the price is best of all. Had the ones that cost $$$$$$$$ and they were elk size NOT close and cost almost three times as much! Check the ones that Sportsmans sell I think you'll be happy with them..
