Pellet Stove for Wall Tents

Recommended Posts

That's pretty slick alright as long as you've got room for it and 40 lbs of pellets for each night! Don't see it being packed in unless you've got one big remuda. Sure would be nice not to wake up frozen after the fire went out though.

Good concept for those that like that sort of thing....

Call me lazy but I prefir the old propane heater next to me cot deal where I just crank her up for a few minutes before rolling out....insta-heat! We rarely are in awake in camp for more than a few hours per 24 hour cycle so quick heat is the best.... I have never even set up my woodstove for my wall tent.

You can convert that wood stove also. Their Hunter stove package with water heater and pellet conversion would be cheaper than the Clarry.

Also saw a diesel stove instead of wood or pellet for heating.

With that diesel stove, one might be tempted to buy a wall tent and live the good life. When I went to Kodiak a few years ago the boat had a diesel stove for heat and cooking, which worked well. I also like the idea of hardly any CO CO2 risk if the pipes are tight, vs a propane heater. Propone also gives off water vapor as a combustion product, so drying clothes is a little more difficult, or possible condensation inside the tent.
