Gr8 White Jr Report post Posted May 16, 2009 I took this picture of an elk hide hanging on the wall in one of my customer's house. The homeowner said it came from Montana and she called it a "hide carving". The color variation in the hide is created by cuting the fur to different lengths. I have never seen anything like this before and thought that it was really neat so I wanted to share it with you all. -Tracy
matthewp45 Report post Posted May 16, 2009 Man that is cool. Talented people can make anything look cool. Next thing they will be making sculptures of elk with their own crap.
Snapshot Report post Posted May 16, 2009 Thats pretty cool. I have seen it on tanned leather before, but never on the backside of a hair on reversed hide.
