NRS Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Since you are young and just starting your hunting career, just about any Wilderness Area in Southeastern Arizona will hold Coues deer and have areas that you can pack in to. Start by doing some research on hunting and draw success rates in units that hold wilderness areas with higher elevations. Half the fun of hunting is figuring out where you are going to put in for, and then scouting the area once you get drawn.
singleshot Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Try some of the now "locked out forest service access" ranches in unit 31. Say no more!
bowhuntinmaniac Report post Posted May 12, 2009 Unit 23, the Sierra Anches Wilderness has some great area. There are waterholes starting about 1/2 mile in on the south side. remember, August is a hot time so take lots of water.
