fireman Report post Posted May 2, 2009 What is a good all around AZ camo pattern? Thanks for the help
Red Rabbit Report post Posted May 2, 2009 From the photos taken at a distance, Predator does very well. I think most camos are too dark for AZ, especially MossyOak Blackout (eerr Breakup). Best is wind in your face, not standing on the skyline, and walking behind the treeline.
Snapshot Report post Posted May 2, 2009 I use Advantage Timber most of the time. It blends well with Oak, Juniper, Ponderosa, etc, a lighter desert camo pattern for lower elevations.
Kilimanjaro Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Bushlan.. was made for TX, but it works PERFECTLY here in AZ.. made in brown and green. It is mesquite and cedar (junipers to you AZ'ers!) based camo pattern.

cohofishing Report post Posted May 2, 2009 Hi, I have had good luck with natural gear. I also been using the outfitter camo from cabela's. That new microtex lite is perfect for August. I have to agree with Doug most camos are to dark, but you can also go to light. Brent

BML Report post Posted May 3, 2009 Kings Desert and Mountain Shadow and Predator camo are on the top of my list. I will second that!! I have had my hunting partners tell me on the radio to start moving so they could find me again. One year while coyote hunting, I sat around the corner from my partner about 50 yards. He was done calling and came to get me and couldn't find me. He walked within 10 yards of me three times and never saw me. I had fun with that one!! haha As always, though, playing the wind is first priority. You can fool an animals eyes. You will never fool their nose.
jnobleinaz Report post Posted May 3, 2009 I like the stuff at wal mart I forgot the name but natural gear is also there. I never spend too much on the stuff. Usually always on clearance.

Best is wind in your face, not standing on the skyline, and walking behind the treeline. I agree, but with Advantage Max One and keeping the sun to your back or even better sun in the animals eyes. Remember death from above.

IHunt2live Report post Posted May 3, 2009 I agree that the open patterns are more suited for our open country areas. I'll also throungh natural gear out there as well. But movement, lack of, is the most importent.
