coues Report post Posted April 19, 2009 The little bear tipped my camera over, I have over 500 pics of a tree limb!
Jimmer Negamanee Report post Posted April 19, 2009 500 branch pics is a good trade for one picture of that cinnamon bear. Congratulations!
willhunt4coues Report post Posted April 20, 2009 You are lucky he didn't destroy your camera. I just had a young bear destroy mine about a week ago. It seems the younger the bear the more curious they are. I have seen bigger bears just walk by mine and the younger ones love to mess with them and it always happens within the first 4 days of putting the camera out. Hope he don't get yours. synper100 Report post Posted April 22, 2009 I've also had a bear destroy my camera. I had to put the thing in a steel box. Had bite marks all over the camera.
stalkincoues Report post Posted April 23, 2009 I guess I have been lucky. Have had about 4 cams in the dirt by bears. the worst damage they've done is shreded or broke the straps.
CouesWhitetail Report post Posted April 24, 2009 I always wipe my cams down with no-scent wipes before I leave. I figure it elminates as much scent and salt from handling as possible and helps keep bears from investigating. So far so good, but of course there is no guarrantee!
