KGAINES Report post Posted April 23, 2009 Maybe he's a conservative anti-hunter. I haven't received a response from him yet, but I will keep sending emails until he gives me an answer. Obama hasn't responded to any of my emails either, but then I never expected him to. Jon Kyl has I even received a phone call from his office to confirm that he will get my email and I should expect a response to my question and several of the reps from AZ have responded on a few issues, even the Governor has responded to me on some issues, McCain hasn't since he lost the election. I think hunters should overwhelm Rush with emails until he gives his position on hunting, and give an explanation on why the radio spots for the HSUS. TAM Report post Posted April 23, 2009 Keith, that's what I'm waiting for is a public response from Rush. Until then it's all just a guessing game.

Hiker Report post Posted April 30, 2009 Time to Tell Rush The Truth About HSUS We have not heard from Rush, one way or the other, on his support for the number one enemy of sportsmen nationwide, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). On April 14, American sportsmen were stunned to learn that Rush is supporting HSUS, and has produced ads for them opposing dog fighting and promoting a partnership between people of faith and animal activists. At issue is not the causes discussed in the ads but the fact that he is acting as a spokesperson for the largest animal rights group in the country. We believe that many people give to the HSUS while under the impression that they run local dog and cat shelters. However, the HSUS is not your local humane society that takes care of pets, but a well-funded national group determined to destroy your outdoor heritage. The HSUS/Limbaugh ads have also run during the "Rick and Bubba" show on XM radio. The family friendly "rural comic" show is very popular in the Southern U.S. This is an obvious attempt to make in-roads among conservatives. Last week, 28 leading conservation groups signed a letter to Mr. Limbaugh explaining the real agenda of the HSUS. This story has generated national press attention in the Los Angeles Times, Washington Times, New York Post, as well as on ESPN. Now it’s time for Rush to hear from American hunters, fishermen, and trappers live and in person. Longtime listeners are familiar with Rush’s “Open Line Friday” show during which he lets the callers choose the topic to be discussed. This Friday, May 1, is a great opportunity for sportsmen and sportswomen to call in and let Rush know the facts about the nation’s top animal rights group, HSUS. Sportsmen nationwide are encouraged to call Rush and tell him how HSUS is assaulting your rights around the country by: * bankrolling efforts to ban the hunting of America’s #1 game bird, mourning doves; * opposing hunting with dogs; * opposing giving parents the ability to choose at what age their sons and daughters are permitted to begin hunting and much, much more. For more information on why Rush is wrong, Click Here. Take Action! Sportsmen should call Rush’s show at 1-800-282-2882between noon and 3pm Eastern Standard Time THIS Friday, May 1. Remember, Rush gets thousands of phone calls, so persistence is an absolute must! Everyone who calls in to Rush, please e-mail the U.S. Sportsmen’s Alliance at info@ussportsmen.org and let us know the outcome of your call. jamaro Report post Posted April 30, 2009 Time to Tell Rush The Truth About HSUS We have not heard from Rush, one way or the other, on his support for the number one enemy of sportsmen nationwide, the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS). Sorry.. we have heard from Rush.... He recorded the PSA's.... He has had over two weeks to say something and he hasn't... I guess he will continue his support of the HSUS.... People need to stop making excuses for him and hold him accountable... J Is anybody contacting his sponsors???
TAM Report post Posted May 1, 2009 I think the sad truth is that guys like Rush and O'riley don't really give one smelly turd about anyone but themselves. I think they're greedy SOB's that are looking to SAY ANYTHING to line their wallets, and believe me they're laughing all the way to the bank. They are entertainers/actors playing the roles that the listeners and viewers are PAYING them to play. If they were true Patriots they would be taking a much more pro-active role in promoting their beliefs. Walking the walk not just talking the talk. FWIW, I mention O'riley because he gave props to Carrie Underwood for donating money to the HSUS. I agree J, we held Zumbo responsible. Why aren't we holding Rush responsible? jamaro Report post Posted May 1, 2009 Yeah..... Get Ted Nugent to give Rush a call.. WOW That would be a GREAT throw down... J
TAM Report post Posted May 1, 2009 Perhaps we should all start sending Uncle Ted emails asking for him to give Rush a call? I'd love to listen to that conversation.
jamaro Report post Posted June 4, 2009 Did Rush ever clarify??? J
TAM Report post Posted June 5, 2009 Yes Jason it was all made crystal clear when Rush completley ignored the situation. Furthermore the hunting community shouted back a response of indefference by not holding him accountable Hope that answers the question I'm starting to realize that hunters and gun owners have a lot that we could learn from all the anti groups. We are very reactive they are very proactive. Proaction = Reaction with a plan.
Hiker Report post Posted June 10, 2009 I was shocked by Rush's response. He quickly went down the tubes with me. He refuses to see the light about this domestic terrorist group.
