The McGee Ranch road sign in area in the Sierritas has alot of deer. There are usually a bunch of other hunters around too. This makes hiking in before opening morning and all the shooting starts key. If you can get up high away from the roads you should see plenty of deer running up to you once the shooting starts and usually there is lots of shooting going on opening day in there. Good luck

I was planning to go into the Cerro Colorados. McGee Ranch and the Sierritas will be too much of a shooting gallery.

I hunted the Colorados last year and I will be there again this November. There is access from all directions and like Bret said you need to get up high before first light and have the hunters drive the deer up to you, unless the deer head into the flats.

Thanks guys. I'm going out this morning and be there until Monday. I know my legs will be sore when I get back.

I was in there last February and saw nothing but coues. Course I was about 2 miles from the nearest road. I have seen some huge sheds come from that range. Northwest side if I had a choice.
