4Falls Report post Posted April 14, 2009 Looks like the bobcats have had enough of us humans and are starting to fight back. At least hear in Yavapai County. Mom and her daughter were attacked in Prescott Valley yesterday. According to the report the PVPD had no choice but to kill the animal in fear for their safety. Watch your backs guys... Ernesto C Report post Posted April 15, 2009 It will be nice to hear how things happened and to hear the whole story. Usually bobcats are afraid of humans but yes, they will attack if they feel they are in danger. I was attacked once by a fox while predator calling. She came tigth to my left, she never saw me and when I saw her we were practically face to face!! She raised her hair open her mouth wide and growled(sp) loud and jumped on me!!..................but thank God, I was able to keep her away with the bipod and the barrel of my rifle. Once I managed to got up, she ran about 20 yards and my friend shot her. It was 100% pure adrenaline and exciment Ernesto C

.270 Report post Posted April 15, 2009 one bit me once. broke his teeth off on my rockhard forearm and then died bleedin' to death after lickin' his butt so much to get the taste outta his mouth. i read the cat in the story was rabid. from my experience, a bobcat is more willing to fight than any other animal i've encountered. bears and lions included. man, i have some great bobcat stories. Dodger2 Report post Posted April 21, 2009 My wife had a run in with one this morning at the in-laws house. She was dropping off my son before work and she heard a rustle in the bushes behind her. The next thing she knows one of the in-laws cats is zooming past her with bobcat in tow. My son had his karate lesson after school and his equipment was in the back of SUV while she was unloading it. She grabbed the broom stick (I don't know the technical term for it) that he uses in his lesson and squared off with the bobcat. The bobcat stopped dead in its tracks and then just walked away. I would say the house cat got lucky that my wife was there when she was....and the bobcat was lucky that I wasn't dropping him off...
