Glassing up......

lions, who has ever glassed up one? i am only 14, almost 15, but i glassed one up on m friends pig hunt, as you probably read in my other topic. was wondering how many of you have ever done it, i know houston has, WHTMTNMAN, hes glassed up two. but what about anyone else?

I live in Utah but have hunted Coues several times in Arizona. I have been lucky enough to glass up three different lions in the 8 or so times that I have hunted Coues. Pretty fun since I have never glassed one here in Utah.

I have spent a ton of time behind my bino's over that past 5 years and I have been fortunate to glass up 4 lions. Still havent tagged one though hopefully this year.

IMO, you are very blesed to have not only glassed, but also have tagged a lion w/o dogs at the age of 14! I have only glassed 2... one while calling (about 500-600 yds) and one while coues hunting and this was the results... A huge thanks to my totally Awesome hunting partner that day for letting me shoot it and ruining the rest of her hunting day!

I have personally glassed up 4 lions. Never got a lay at them though

i spend at least 20 weekends a year chasin some kind of animal around for the last ten years.... spent hundreds of hours behind good glass in some of the best country that arizona has to offer..glassed lots of things that ive never expected to see even, but i have NEVER glassed one lion...the only one i have ever even seen was run up a tree....thats just how some things go i guess. i feel bad for the one that messes up and shows himself to me, actually, nah! i wont feel very bad

I've seen 3. Two were together and one loner. No shot at any of them.

I have spent alot of time also behind the 15s. I have glassd up 4 in Az and 6 in mexico. The only one i ever killed was from a ground blind with a bow years ago. that was the high light of my archery career up to that point. there sure are alot out there.

I have seen three lions alive in the wild. All of them would be properly measured in FEET from me, instead of yards... Tagged one, buddy tagged other, the third got away.

wow that surprises me, i didnt think that many lions were glassed up, thats awesome you guys have seen so many. this i the first lion my dad has seen. and I found it haha. where are you guys finding all of these. down south i bet. i ought to get more glassing time in when i can drive this next year

I have been very lucky and have seen 13 lions in Arizona. Glassed up 8 of them. The rest of them ran across the road. I have buddy's that haven't seen but a couple but are out there just as much as me. You just never know.

I had only glassed one out of about 10 years of hunting. Then while hunting coues one year I glassed three in two days. One single and 2 together. Here is the single.
