nighthawk Report post Posted April 9, 2009 first mule deer hunt... first day my brother spotted this buck and i was going to hold out for something better..... After watching him for an hour or so i gave in..... I took the shot at 420 yrds bedded.. He got up and kicked a couple of times then rolled over dead...Glad i harvested this buck it still is a great trophy for me.....The hunt was in nov.. 08 got it back feb 2009... That rifle has downed alot of AZ game and to be on the back burner But seriously... How sweet would that be if that was the SAME buck that walked up on the 5 of us on bruisers elk hunt, That was awesome. Im really sorry we didnt make it on this hunt... I was trying my lion hunting skills(key word trying) and the whole time wishin I was mule deer hunting w/ the family.... Oh well, lesson learned on my part... Are you gonna help me run water when you get back... or what... Cody walked 2 miles in flip-flops to help me now its ur turn...... Be safe comin home brother.
