Coues79 Report post Posted April 8, 2009 I drew a 23 Archery Bull tag for November. Thought I put in for rifle but "I" made the mistake, not Game and Fish, so now I am gonna fling sticks at a bull! I haven't ever hunted up there and I know this is going to be a tough hunt If you're WILLING to give me any info. I would greatly appreciate it. Please PM me rather than post to the thread YES I AM LOOKING FOR HELP! DANG E-SCOUTERS

Coues79 Report post Posted April 9, 2009 Hmmm. If I had the money buddy, I'd offer it. We educators are gettin' hit pretty hard right now I know its a lot to ask of folks to give out info. I'm the same way when its asked the other way around, especially when it comes to deer. I plan on getting up there this summer to learn as much as I can before the fall comes back around. I'll put my time in Not knowing the unit at all, I figgered I'd might as well ask. Don't hurt none, but now I guess I am officially an E-SCOUTER. Ouch it hurts to say that

krp Report post Posted April 11, 2009 This is actually a nice hunt if you have the time and are willing to get back in some rough country. The bach bull groups are in the same places everyday when you find them, having the patience to wait them out for a shot opportunity is the key. There are slopes that always have bulls on them everyday during the winter, year to year, for at least the 15 or so years I've been observing. I would still be hunting this hunt but have decided to wait for one more rut tag. When it gets closer to your hunt and if you still need help let me know. Good luck, Kent

Good luck, Kent Kent, that was very gracious and unselfish of you to offer your help to another fellow hunter and of deserthntr as well. I would like to think that this site is about helping others and I have come to dislike the word E-SCOUTER. Not everbody has the means or the funds and this site has some of the best information available to those. On that note I would also like to say that we have some of the best outfitters, as sponsors here on coueswhitetail, for those who choose to go that route. Coues79...shoot a bigen and post your pics and story after your hunt. Good luck my friend! TJ
Coues79 Report post Posted April 12, 2009 Hey guys, I want to thank you for the generosity that has been offerered by several members on this site. There are numerous folks on here that really are generous folks that want to help out others that they don't even know. A couple have offered their own time to help on my hunt! I DON"T EVEN KNOW THESE PEOPLE, but yet they are willing to help someone out. I appreciate it; seriously. It speaks of the types of folks you all are. I know this can be an extremely tough hunt and the timing of the hunt doesn't coincide really well with time I am able to take off of work. That's one of the reasons that I didn't knowingly realize I was putting in for it. I still don't know how I made the mistake. I plan on taking the time, learning the country and hunting hard but a little bit of help doesn't hurt anybody. I hope this turns into a hunt that I would like to hunt again in the future. I have been a member on this site for going on 4 years now and this is the second time I have asked for some help; I have given help before too. I respect that most folks like to keep spots to themselves. I absolutely, completely understand, that's one of the reasons why I like to have PM's instead of posting to the thread. I have cringed before when I have seen information given out about places that I like to hunt, but hey, next time I see someone needing help from a unit I know, I will try and help out, especially for folks that have been around here for a while. TJ, that is my plan. Thanks guys, Coues79
