stanley Report post Posted April 8, 2009 Awesome pics Ernesto!!! I've been to that place to relax many times. We're usually in a house down at Las Conchas though... I'll try to dig-up some old pics of some of my favorite other places to relax and post! S.
Ernesto C Report post Posted April 8, 2009 If we dont camp out, we usually stay at the hotel right next to "Las Conchas" Have you ever tried fishing there Stanley? Fishing is good, how about all those miles of quad trails? have you ever ride on them? Next time you go there Stanley let me know, maybe we can go together and have fun. stanley Report post Posted April 9, 2009 Yes Ernesto, I've fished off the beaches at Las Conchas before..... I always take my rod and lots of Kastmasters!! Nice & heavy so I can heave those suckers WAY out there. Usually catch lots doing that, but I've found the fishing is much better if the water is a little warmer. A couple of years ago my kid's spring break was a little early (varies cuz of Catholic school! LOL Always around Easter... & the water was a bit chilly and I didn't catch as many.... Gotta be careful though! 4 years ago we were there and I was having a GREAT time fishing...... That was until that pesky stingray decided to have his way with my ankle! That HURT big time!!!! S. Kilimanjaro Report post Posted April 9, 2009 I enjoy a trip to RP as much as the next guy, but I like the trips to San Carlos even better!!!! I try and get in a fishing trip/SCUBA down that way at least once or twice a year. Beautiful places. The wife and I are headed to Kona,HI for a week in mid June.. Hope I bring back some great pics of the Big Island.. never been on the Big Island before..just Oahu and Maui on a previous trip. We are planning on seeing the open lava tubes, climbing Mouna Kea (to get HI off the state high peak list, #5), do plenty of SCUBA and snorkleing, and plenty of relaxin on the black sand beaches!
