big old shed

Recommended Posts

Antlers always look bigger when kids are holding them but this is a large antler none the less. I would guess this antler was from a 380+ bull, but try as I did I could never find the other side. This horn was about 5 years old when I found it and was in very good condition for being white. I didn't have a camera with me on this trip so I dont have any field pictures.

I was in an area that was predominatly a mule deer area and wasnt looking to find any elk sheds, but it was a nice surprise.

I utalized this shed when we built this chandelier for ourselves. We also used 5 other elk antlers and 3 coues sheds for the down light. Once you begin to find a few antlers, you are only limited by your imagination as to how to use them.

For a guy with a mountain of sheds you shure aint much for numbers...... :P Wheres those score sheets i gave ya  ?

The picture with joe is good but still doesn't do it justice.. Although you can see the 24 inch ( yes 24 inch!!) sword better in the chandelier pic.Thats one serious horn right there buddy, And the chandelier, well......... the other bruisers compliment it well, and the coues is a fine touch!. Awesome work my friend. Thanks for shareing you're art with us!!
