So i assumed that since I was laid off in jan. the good lord would shine down on me and allow me to obtain the coveted AZ archery bull tag. Well I was wrong... So Ive officially started my side project. At the feed store a water trough is around $100.00+ After finding out I was NOT drawn I went to the feed store early this morning and guess what... the trough was on sale for $8.00 so I bought 2 of em' The Aug. hunt is on! This really helped me get over the not drawn blues and wondering if you guys have any suggestions... The location has been picked out and Ive covered half of the trough to prevent evaporation and intend on burying this beast about 3 feet into the earth, and hopefully covered in shade for most of the day! Getting water 2 it is still an obstacle but a little sweat and elbow grease will take care of that! Im going to post my progress and hopefully post the "fruit of my labors". Any suggestions would be of great help as I am new to this... A pic for your time...

well, the AZGFD uses trik tanks all the time...just make something to collect rain water and fill 'em up... ;)

If you are in the woods near happy jack, i suppose there are places you can find a small seep, or spring to collect from.

You might want to find out whose land you are digging the hole on to place it. If it is federal, you could get into big trouble.

What about the black poly line that we use for our drip systems? That is way cheaper than PVC and it is one continuous line. I would imagine that for a $100 you could run a 1/4 mile of that stuff. I don't know how far you are having to hike in but that is a thought for getting water to your tank. Good luck. I think it would be cool to do something like this.
