After that, the ball rolls......my guess would be sometime in May. It's a paper only draw this year..........throw out all of your old application forms.......they're coming up with new ones. Rembrant Report post Posted March 11, 2005 I think getting rid of the E-apps this year is a good idea. I still think EVERYONE should be required to pass a Hunter Safety course to be eligible. Offering a few hoops to jump through should eliminate the yahoos that ain't serious about huntin - kind of a 'drunk test'. If you can't walk the line, you don't get to drive! Paper tag apps are a good idea and I hope they come out with a few more good ones to give the Residents some more advantage. But there always should be some room for us Alaskan hunters !!!! I probably won't put in for whitetail this season. So ultramag can have my unit #23 slot. Oh I just forgot there are NO deer in that unit. Well maybe he can go in gunning for that big Cat I should have had a tag for and could have taken easy. I think I'll save my southern winter hunt for the Feb Javie Hunt. ElkDeer Report post Posted March 14, 2005 I was also wondering when the new hunting regs were going to be out so I emailed G&F and here is what the sent: 'Our 2005 Fall Hunt Regulation book will be available around the middle of May. They should be on our Web site by the end of the first week in May. You cannot apply online this year. We will be accepting paper applications only.
