I agree with what Tines has said... There are certain people that draw every year, which is a bunch of BS.. I am not mad at those people, I would be on cloud nine, but the AZGFD does something to the draw.. I know guys who have drawn bull tags 8 out of the last 10 yrs.. How can that be???? I think they are a typical govt agency, and that says enough... I would love it if a pure preference system was put in place. If someone wants a primo tag, they can wait there turn. I love how Colorado works, it also helps for planning.

I think it would suck if they put a preference point system in. At least you have a chance to draw every year in AZ. In Colorado you have to wait 12-15 years for good tags and no chance at all to draw without all of your points. Colorado has a lot more elk than we do, so we cant do things the same as them. ;)

Hello all, this is pretty much my first post, been lurking for months, finally signed up. Great site, great information. I am a transplanted midwesterner, love to bowhunt, drew my first elk tag last year, early archery bull, man was it a blast. I was almost reluctant to check this year knowing my odds were way low, especially considering the units I put in for.....no elk or antelope tag for me this year. Congrats to all that were drawn, had a buddy draw an early rifle bull tag in 10, that should be fun, I'll keep everyone updated on how that one goes.

Yes just last year. My son and my wife got drawn for the same unit. If your theory held water they would have pretty close numbers. "NOT", they were a long way off. That is my whole point. Secrecy. Any time a government agency is clouded in secrecy we should be concerned. If everything is on the up and up why be so secret about it. Has anyone here ever witnessed the draw? And can confirm what takes place.

Dude, I found you an avatar

After about a 1000 redials I finally got through only to hear those all to familiar words "You were not drawn for...."

Good thing I was fortunate enought to draw an Oryx Tag and there's still Utah to find out about.

Woke up at 4am at San Carlos Lake to find, after several calls, that my wife drew her very first ever Az rifle bull tag along with my Dad. :D I'm sure every camper within miles was wondering what all the commotion was coming from that end of the lake. It made for a great weekend even though the fishing was slow. :)

I've gotten through twice in the last hour to check for my kids and after I put in the info it says technical difficulties, call back when someone is available to help me. Should I keep trying?
