JMP Report post Posted March 25, 2009 At least they're doing it the right way instead of asking for a taxpayer bailout.

RoughCut Report post Posted March 26, 2009 I really love those guys. I would shop there any day over Cabelas and Bass Pro. They always took expired coupons no questions asked as well as returns with or without receipts. Cabelas is terrible, good luck finding anything below retail there. The sales they run are a joke and good luck getting anything shipped to you for under 12 bucks.
Diamondbackaz Report post Posted March 26, 2009 I expected it. This will alow them to get out of building leases of closed stores. I also heard they are closing their central distribution center. Now they need to let the individual store managers do the inventory control to get the stuff in that people want; and to also get rid of the crap that people don't want. grizzly Report post Posted March 26, 2009 I was down at the Greenfield store yesterday and thats what I was told. Chapter 11 is good news though because it means they will stay open. As for Bass Pro and Cabelas, who cares? They can both go away. I never spend money at either place because its so hard to get help from anyone who knows whats going on. That is an excellent idea, too bad the owner is too dumb to incorporate that plan, might have never needed to file bankruptcy in the first place if they did that a while ago, i guess he was too busy trying to open 5 new stores a year in a sinking economy if they had an online store, had store managers order their own inventory and would special order things that they were out of for customers, the company would be doing fine.
