Snake in the yard

Recommended Posts

I have never seen one of these guys in AZ. Seen them all over NM. Was hiding in my sprinkler box.

Young gopher snake… totally harmless. And very beneficial to have around. Hopefully you got a whole brood to eat the vermin at your place .

Night snake. Mildly venomous rear fanged. Really cool docile snakes. I'll find him a place way out in the desert tomorrow away from all you sissies afftaid of snakes.

They can't hurt you. If you get a finger all the way to the back of that little mouth it's natural selection at that point.

Girly man…. I grew up playing with snakes we caught, bitten many times .,hardest part was disengaging from the rear facing teeth so you didn’t hurt the snake. The pics looks lots like the yong gophers I find, I guess I haven’t encountered  a night snake yet. The young king snakes are the grouchiest  as far as biting that I find, but they all eat the vermin  so they get a free pass . The buzztails , not so much . Too many panic snake killers in the world …
