Boarman03 Report post Posted Friday at 08:08 PM I am constantly facing different predator problems by coyote, fox, Hawk, Eagle, and possibly racoon. What are your thoughts on the predator that killed this Guinea Fowl? All that remains are a wing and a bunch of feathers. I have my suspicion but would appreciate thoughtful input/discussion. jdown Report post Posted Friday at 10:11 PM In my experience an owl won’t eat the gizzard. So if that is gone, I would say falcon or hawk.

Boarman03 Report post Posted Saturday at 04:44 AM Occurred in the morning. We get Golden Eagles and Falcons. Lambs were not attacked, so I'm leaning towards the first two. Too late ( not really dark because Guinea Fowl roost until daybreak) for owls. All the poultry roost in back so the Guinea had time to go around the house and get up front. Can't hurt/trap predatory birds, but I can try to scare them when I see them. Mostly worried about varmints/ 4 legged predators. Thanks for all of the good input. Boarman03 Report post Posted Saturday at 01:46 PM Follow up. Guinea are fairly habitual and got to that area at 6:20 AM today. I'm certain it was a large hawk or an eagle. Thanks for your thoughts and efforts.
