BRYCE CANYON Report post Posted March 20, 2009 I am selling my "81 Jeep CJ5. This is a great Jeep with a 258 6 cylinder and a 4 speed. transmission. This is a rare, hard to find unit with the 4 speed transmission. It is really a rock crawler with that extra low gear. The odometer and most of the gauges do not work so I do not know how many miles it has on it. The engine was rebuilt when I got it and it runs strong but could use a carb. rebuild. It has some dents and dings and a little rust here and there but overall it is in good condition for an older Jeep CJ. It has newer rims and tires, new springs, shocks and steering stabilizer as well as new rear axle shafts. It comes with a tow bar and a newer soft top with doors. Price: $3000.00. I will consider partial trade for a Ruger Vaquero "New Style" stainless .45LC with a 5 1/2" barrel. A portion of the sale price will be donated to this web-site. Thanks for looking. 928.699.4234

Jon In Tucson Report post Posted March 23, 2009 That is a pretty good looking jeep. I have a '83, with the same 258CI six and 4 speed. The low end torque is awesome... As it is stock, it will get you in and out of all but the most gnarly of places. Rebuild the Carter BBD carb, the kit runs around $20, and never look back. Mine gets about 16MPG with a minimum of tuning. I have to go thru emissions. If you can turn a wrench, these are easy to work on. No computers. Good Luck with your sale, and I hope it finds a good home. Jon In Tucson
