Roofer Billy Report post Posted April 10 This is the boat I picked up from a member on here . It leaked in the bottom seam. Trailer had wires chewed up. I rewired the trailer . Put new running boards on the trailer. Cleaned and repacked the bearings, and installed buddy bearings. Applied 4 coats of white flex seal on inside and out. And 4 coats red flex seal to all areas in red. Then 4 coats of clear on the entire boat. Wanted to deck the back in . But if I did and then installed a seat . I wouldn't be able to work the till motor, I would sit up to high. I did deck in the front. And plan on installing a trolling motor platform at the very front bow . And a bow mounted trolling motor. The deck is covered with white flex seal, with a cotton membrane in needed in-between 3 more coats of white. Then 1 coat of red with silica sand dusted on top. After drying . I blew the excess sand off and coated with a coat of red and two coats of clear. I personally will give it a lifetime warranty on leaks . Not going to happen. Unless you run it up in rocks. Has a 5 .5 horse Johnson Evenrude on it . Still have a little work left to go. But definitely will be floating in San Carlos lake this weekend. š

Ed67 Report post Posted April 12 Great work! Did you build the decks or were they already there? Type of wood? I have a 14ā Mirrocraft Deep V that I want to refurbish.
Roofer Billy Report post Posted April 12 I built the deck. Used pressure treated 2x8s and 1 inch sanded plywood. And waterproofed all of it with flex seal.

Just pulled out of the casino parking lot. Nature calls after almost 3 hours of driving and a pot of coffee.. šµāš«.. About a hour away. Going to fish San Carlos today and tomorrow. Then Talkalai Monday morning. Talkalai right now is going nuts for giant bass. Couple days of crappie fishing. Then time to rip some lips off on Monday. Who knows I might stay the whole week there. Looking forward to some quality time with my family. Dad is really doing good. He has came back really well from the heart attacks and stroke. He's gained about 40 pounds of his weight back. And actually looks like he did 40 years ago. He walks or is working on something all the time. And is as strong as a horse. Makes Me feel good knowing He might just be around a bit longer.š Happy hunting, Happy fishing,Or just be Happy š.
