The history I received , it came from a family out of Wyoming, the family came from Kansas in covered wagon and this carbine was with them when they settled in Moose Wyoming. It’s been used to harvest Elk, deer, moose and grizzly according to them. The grandfather ran a trap line at the turn of century using this rifle.
