Yes, that’s how leg hold traps were banned on public lands. I believe it was Prop 200
654321 Report post Posted Friday at 08:46 PM Looks like the commission just unanimously voted to deny the 2 petitions by the CBD, we’ll see where the CBD goes from here.

Wasn’t there but watched what I could, basically they let CBD spokesman talk and then AZGFD biologist gave his presentation. Next hours of blue card speakers for and against and then 3 seconds for the commission to deny both petitions.
68OLDS Report post Posted Friday at 11:34 PM I wasn't there but watched the webcast. The Commission started off by taking public comments followed by a short presentation by the AZGFD staff. After that more public comment was taken. The overwhelming majority of public speakers opposed the two petitions. It was an incredible show of unity among all sportsmen and women, and even some amazing kiddos who spoke. The AZGFD recommended to deny both petitions at which the Commissioners unanimously voted to deny.

Flatlander Report post Posted yesterday at 03:05 AM 3 hours ago, CatfishKev said: What's the biologists have to say about it? Jim Heffelfinger presented. He’s about as good as they come. He reviewed the claims put forth by the petition. Then he discredited each while citing sources and data. It was a perfect example of science based conservation and wildlife management. I hope it gets shown everywhere. It’s obvious Jim likes the spotlight, and we are lucky to have him.
