Ed67 Report post Posted Friday at 01:11 AM Tire question for 1/2 ton truck trailer pullers. Anyone here running Load range F tires instead of E? I currently have F rated tires/Toyo AT3s on my Tundra but dang are they a rough ride and wondering if it’s overkill. my current trailer is about 5300 empty. 654321 Report post Posted Friday at 02:49 AM Run BFG KO2 load range E on my F150, run 80psi when pulling my 24ft travel trailer. When I get to camp I drop the tire pressure back down to 32psi. Air back up to 80 when pulling trailer back.
Roosevelt Mark Report post Posted Friday at 04:58 AM E is fine, I pull 35 ft 5th wheel all over the west.
Hoss50 Report post Posted 4 hours ago D or E should be fine. F is way to much. I have run D & E on 3/4 and 1 ton trucks. The nice part about heavier tires is tougher sidewalls. That also is what causes worse eise though. My 1 ton right now has E rated and I down my 21' trailer at about 55psi. I street drive it at about 40psi.
