Utah NR Hunt Fees- Huge Increase

Recommended Posts

It's definitely a large increase, but it still won't stop me from applying.  Hobbies are expensive, this is simply how I choose to spend my money.  Hopefully the increase will improve the draw odds.

100%, it's not going stop people from applying.

Might as well not even have a non resident fee, just open it up as the same as residents so we can have public support across the nation.

Yeah, cause that’s the same thing. Ok.

Moved away from AZ two times.  Texas and NM.  I will tell you the grass is not always greener.  Texas is all private and NM is beautiful but as corrupt and crime ridden as any place I have been.  My wife travels a lot and lives in different states from months to years at a time(mostly east of Mississippi river).  She has never been anyplace that she would choose over AZ.  Most people take our weather for granted.  I agree, Maricopa county pretty much sucks but there are far worse places to live.  Carry on.

I agree, AZ isn’t the worst place, but it’s not my top pick.

I’ve lived in 4 other states, there is only 1 I would pick over this one. And I am working on getting there.

Don't forget to buy that lifetime hunting license. I'm in Idaho right now and this would be my top pick, or Alaska.

Per wording in the bill, the NR fees listed are the max, but they may charge less.

" Nonresident (All nonresident fees for the Division of Wildlife Resources may not exceed, but may be less than, the amounts stated in the division's fee schedule.)"

Curious which state is your top and for what reason if you care to share. I've got my eyes open always as well but we all have different priorities.

I will put money on the same state that couzer is in and that I would like to be in.  I am from Idaho and love it up there.  Winters aren't my favorite but even those are not bad depending on which part of the state you are in. But that said, Arizona isn't too bad.  I have lived in much worse places.

California is my top choice. Close to the beach. Close to the mountains. Low taxes. Moderate politics. You guys should give it a run.
