I saw something, however I also wouldn't hold my breath. The NFA stands for National Firearms Act, which was enacted by Congress in 1934, so based on my understanding of Civics, wouldn't Congress have to change it? Or the Courts would have to strike it down? I've been wrong once before...

Hoss50 Report post Posted Friday at 02:21 PM Suppressors are awesome and I wish i had started sooner with them. I am not an expert in suppressors, but I am learning! My next can will be a dedicated 22lr can. I have rifle cans and do occasionally shoot 22lr thru them for now, but I want a real 22lr can. Probably going with the deadair mask so I can put it on a 5.7x28 pistol too.

Hunting and not blasting your ears. Amazing. Don't overlook the Rugged Oculus Edited Saturday at 03:12 AM by cactusjack Hit send too quickly

I rarely soot at the range or hunting unsuppressed anymore. Only guns that are not threaded get shot unsuppressed. I also look down my nose at people who don't shoot suppressed 🤣, not really, but maybe a little. If the gun can be suppressed, I don't see the reason not to.

I have known Harlan since I was about 11-12yrs old when I taught myself how to reload. His shop was the closest to me that had reloading supplies, so I spent alot of money over the years with Harlan on guns, ammo, and reloading supplies. Hunterjohnny Report post Posted Saturday at 03:20 AM So I have a buddy insisting that his YHM r9 I the perfect all around starter for my 6.5cm and my 9mm. Assuming the same price range what are your thoughts on these? thanks
cactusjack Report post Posted Saturday at 03:25 AM R9 is a good can. I tend to avoid the 1 size fits all, but starting out its not a bad idea.

Assuming the same price range what are your thoughts on these? thanks Silencerco 36M would be a good choice to potentially. A little more expensive, but more versatile if you shoot larger than 6.5cm or .308. YHM makes nice stuff though too. Remember, if you buy it and don't like it, it is yours. So don't compromise because of cost. Spend a little extra if you think something else might be a better option. I really like my Deadair Primal, but honestly wish I had bought a 46M silencerco. They were out of stock and more expensive though, so I went with the primal. I think I would have been happier though if I could have had the modular 2pc 46M so I could hunt with the shorter lighter version.

It has barrel restrictions as do most cans, the r9 included
bonecollector Report post Posted Saturday at 07:54 PM Is it recommended to put any kind of thread locker on when installing, obviously not red locktite. 😂
cactusjack Report post Posted Saturday at 09:46 PM I dont. Snug them up. Check them. If they loosen then up, I have used a wrap of Teflon. Blue loctite works too. If the barrel is threaded well, it should not happen often.
