Using ChatGPT for something useful

Recommended Posts

I am looking to possibly change from a 125 grain broadhead to a 175 grain broached for this fall’s elk hunt. But I wondered about how it would impact my arrow speed, momentum, etc., so I asked chat gpt, and was pleasantly surprised by helpful information.

Prompt: Compare the speeds of 2 arrows, 1 weighing 700 grains shot at 265 feet per second, and the other weighing 650 grains shot at 270 feet per second

response in attached pictures

i asked several variations of the question, as well as how the velocity of the arrow would change with different weights.

here is a link to the entirety of my experience.

I think many of us might find this useful as we think about related archery topics. I’m going to keep playing with it when I have time and see what else I might learn.

Mathematical equations do not represent actual field conditions. ChatGPT is nothing more than a computer based opinion and not fact IMO! Respectfully.

Physics isn't really an opinion.  ;^)

What does chat gpt say about Coues being the superior deer?

Here's your answer:

Are They "Superior"?

If by "superior," you mean harder to hunt, more adaptable to rugged environments, and a prized trophy for experienced hunters—then yes, they are elite in those categories. However, if you compare them in terms of sheer size or range, they don’t outmatch larger subspecies like the northern white-tailed deer or mule deer.

For hunters and wildlife enthusiasts in the Southwest, Coues deer are definitely a top-tier species.

I asked it how to pronounce coues...but kooz does not rhyme with moose. Still a mystery... :D

"Coues" is typically pronounced as "kooz" (rhyming with "moose"). It refers to a subspecies of white-tailed deer, the Coues deer, named after the naturalist Elliott Coues.
