Greenhorn Report post Posted Friday at 06:25 PM Congrats Vincent - I also drew this hunt, after applying every year since 1997. I drew permit #1. I'm very excited but nervous having never been there and will only have the week prior to opener to scout, but will be there until the last day if needed. Hoping for a lot of action and to see some nice bulls. Good luck to you and share some photos of the country if you're over scouting this summer. 1

I will definitely share some photos when I get there. I will be hunting the whole hunt as well. I'm going to head up there the opener of over the counter archery for deer and do some scouting during that time as well. I'm going to assume you're a non resident? Are you hiring an outfitter? Feel free to PM so we can talk more
208LOGAN Report post Posted Friday at 09:20 PM Such an amazing tag and I know you said you can't justify hiring a guide but I highly recommend it... This unit a guide can easily be the difference between a 330 bull and a 360 plus bull. I bull in my avatar was an 8x7 I was lucky enough to take in 23n on the late hunt.

I would love to find a couple young locals that would let me hire them to be on speed dial with backpacks if needed.

Hey man I whole heartily agree with you. I've been throwing some outfitter ideas around but I'm also thinking I can do this. That bull you got is incredible. If you don't mind me asking what he scored and who did you hire?

He scored 363 7/8 and that year was a horrible drought year. I ended up going with A3. I had never used a guide in my life up until that point but I knew I couldn't designate the time need to that hunt for scouting.

If I kill a bull of that caliber I'll be more than happy honestly. I'm really looking forward to the hunt.
JSR Report post Posted 22 hours ago Glassed from the road in 23 north last year. 3/4 of a mile away from glassing spot but a big nasty canyon in between.
