richs4839 Report post Posted February 28 I was thinking about purchasing a suppressor for my hunting rifle (.300 win mag bolt) and for my ar-10 (.308) I was going to buy one that I can move from firearm to firearm. If drawn I hunt once a year for coues. I have three little kids so really dont have anytime to go shoot like i used to. Just looking for opinions. Is it worth spending $1000+ to maybe use once a year for the hunt? Really on the fence. I just see it sitting in the safe until my little ones are old enough to start shooting. You can figure out which qd mount you want later. It really tamed my 300rum and 308 subs will make you giggle like a school girl. DanielT Report post Posted February 28 I resisted getting one for years, thinking it wouldn’t be worth it. I pulled the trigger on one, and like others said, I don’t want to shoot without one now. I have a few and love them. Makes for a far more pleasant shooting experience for my kids as well. azsugarbear Report post Posted February 28 With as little as you are shooting right now, I would probably hold off. There might be some big changes coming down the road regarding GOP/Trump full court press on the ATF and gun rights in general. It's possible we may see suppressors completely removed from the NFA in a year or two. That will save you $200 right there. Additionally, if suppressors are removed more will want to get in the game and w/o regulation, we may see a corresponding drop in prices. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
