Suppressor Thoughts?

Recommended Posts

Appreciate everyone's opinion. After reading responses from page 1 I was going to hold off on getting one. After reading the whole thread I am going to do it. Anyone have any leads on direct thread on for a 300 win mag bolt and .308 AR -10. I am going to swap between rifles. I have the money ready to go but with 2 little kids and another one on the way I was hoping with tax stamp to be under $1,000. If anyone wants to shoot me some options or deals they find it would be appreciated.

I was on the fence a long time. Mostly against getting one. Then I bought my first one and after shooting it one time I ordered the 2nd one that night.

I will never not use a suppressor again.

Diligent defense enticer S. Buy a zilch adapter and plan b style adapters for each of your guns. It will come with 5/8-24 direct thread if you want to use that to start.

Can I ask why you would go with an S can? I have a couple K, S, and L cans and hands down my L cans outperform all the rest. I will second Diligent Defense though. They make lightweight, great cans.

Diligent defense makes the S and the L, the S is 6.75”, pretty much the standard length all around can. The L is 8.25”. It suppresses better but not leaps and bounds. I think the L cans are great if you have multiple, but if im recommending a “do all” can (most end up buying another after their first) I recommend the best suppression/weight/length can for the money. Carries nice and doesn't feel super long on longer barrels, suppresses awesome, cost a little less.

If I remember right somewhere I saw Diligent make a comment that between the L and S, both shooting supersonic, the difference to the ear is marginal. Im sure there are cases where this is biased one way or the other, thinking high volume mag cartridges the L shines a little better than the S maybe.
