richs4839 Report post Posted 22 hours ago I was thinking about purchasing a suppressor for my hunting rifle (.300 win mag bolt) and for my ar-10 (.308) I was going to buy one that I can move from firearm to firearm. If drawn I hunt once a year for coues. I have three little kids so really dont have anytime to go shoot like i used to. Just looking for opinions. Is it worth spending $1000+ to maybe use once a year for the hunt? Really on the fence. I just see it sitting in the safe until my little ones are old enough to start shooting. Len901 Report post Posted 22 hours ago 100% get one they are amazing for hearing spotter/ shooter interaction and the animals most times won’t even react
matt Report post Posted 22 hours ago Absolutely worth it. I started with one and now have one for every firearm. 🤣. You won’t want to shoot without them anymore.

I bought one and it’s cool, but honestly I don’t think it’s worth it 1
Couzer Report post Posted 22 hours ago 100% worth it, my kids love it.
bigorange Report post Posted 22 hours ago I agree I think it's worth it...switching back and forth between rifles is easy. Now any rifle I buy will be threaded. Shop around...mine ended up less than $1000 total and the approval process was very quick.
FourthHorseman Report post Posted 22 hours ago 100% worth it in my opinion. Get a hub compatible suppressor but I would just use direct thread for now. You can figure out which qd mount you want later. It really tamed my 300rum and 308 subs will make you giggle like a school girl. This is my buddy shooting subs out of my 308 at 200 yards listen to the bullet ricochet. https://imgur.com/a/9M7JPqn
Calebwalter Report post Posted 22 hours ago Absolutely worth it for me. I went with a diligent defense enticer L, using rearden muzzle device and hub adapter. I use it on my 6.5cm, 300blk at pistol, and my ruger precision 223. It’s comically quite on the 300blk.
bigj23 Report post Posted 22 hours ago It is worth it. We got one this year and it changed the communication a lot for the better and more comfortable for my daughter to shoot. We won’t go back to shooting without one.
DanielT Report post Posted 22 hours ago I resisted getting one for years, thinking it wouldn’t be worth it. I pulled the trigger on one, and like others said, I don’t want to shoot without one now. I have a few and love them. Makes for a far more pleasant shooting experience for my kids as well. My 7 year old shoots my 300 win mag, 270, and 308 with ease, thanks to the dramatic reduction in recoil.
DanielT Report post Posted 21 hours ago I would encourage you to go to East Valley Tactical’s suppressed range day at Ben Avery on 3/22. Many companies will be there and you can try out their suppressors. It’s a good opportunity to try before you buy, plus it’s just a good time.

This is what I did when I was in the market for a 22LR suppressor
azsugarbear Report post Posted 21 hours ago With as little as you are shooting right now, I would probably hold off. There might be some big changes coming down the road regarding GOP/Trump full court press on the ATF and gun rights in general. It's possible we may see suppressors completely removed from the NFA in a year or two. That will save you $200 right there. Additionally, if suppressors are removed more will want to get in the game and w/o regulation, we may see a corresponding drop in prices.
trphyhntr Report post Posted 21 hours ago I thought they seemed cool but when I realized I shoot about 4 shells every other year I didn’t see the point.
