Sketchy Tom Report post Posted Wednesday at 05:18 PM I recently shot my first fox and have been trying to tan it myself. This morning, I was washing it in dish soap and a bunch of the fur started to fall out and now there are large patches of missing fur. I’m thinking I must’ve made a mistake at some point in the process, wondering if anyone knows what could’ve gone wrong.

AzDiamondHeat Report post Posted Wednesday at 07:23 PM Pretty difficult to say why it failed without knowing your process. Most likely culprit though is bacteria. gotta get it frozen or salted right away after skinning. Gotta skin them asap depending on how warm it is outside.
