AZBIG10 Report post Posted 22 hours ago Oregon gives bonus points for people who turn in poachers. This might be a better solution for crossbow abuse

All this is gonna do is make a lot of crossbow hunters go back to doctor to get him/her to sign an additional form. Or go to a chiropractor to get it signed for "Spinal cord conditions" I agree and I think game and fish hasn't thought this whole thing through. The CHAMP permits were intended to get people out that have severe disabilities and allow them to use crossbows and shoot from a vehicle, in addition to hunts specifically for CHAMP permit holders. I'm sure their are fair number of people that have injuries to their upper extremities that restricts them from using compound bows and therefore crossbow permits were issued, but the majority of them are still able to hike and don't need to shoot from a vehicle and are not eligible to apply for CHAMP hunts. If these crossbow permits go away, I'm sure the pool of CHAMP permit holders is going to explode, which sucks for those people with mobility issues that draw those hunts.
