EarlyBronco Report post Posted Sunday at 11:10 PM Why is everyone crying about crossbows? What’s the unfair advantage of them cuz they shoot fast, cuz they shoot far? So does every other new bow on the market, I can shoot my bow better that my brother with his crossbow standing up at 90 yards ago what’s the big deal? 1
NOTAGS Report post Posted Monday at 02:25 AM Let it go, GF put their stamp on it. It was hugely abused which sux for those who needed it. But those who did will suffer. Modern compound shooters whining about them was like libtard hypocrisy in my book. The traditional archers were banging the same drum for years but they were a silent minority. I have the permit, hunted with an xbow and hated it . Sold it ( a Ravin) for a huge loss. Now it’s probably worth less than my loss price .
AZLance Report post Posted Monday at 02:33 AM a Champ tag is just as easy to get as a crossbow permit, just need a doctors signature and $13... heck all you need is arthritis to get a champ tag, or a "burn injury"... just take a cigarette and burn your arm once...bingo! All this is gonna do is make a lot of crossbow hunters go back to doctor to get him/her to sign an additional form. Or go to a chiropractor to get it signed for "Spinal cord conditions"

cactusjack Report post Posted Tuesday at 01:13 AM How is it that everyone knows someone that is committing fraud, but nobody is reporting them to Game Thief? Instead, many are pushing to take away something from everyone, people who have not committed fraud.

Instead, many are pushing to take away something from everyone, people who have not committed fraud. I have reported a few different times over the last twenty years. People with fires when they shouldn't have one,or leaving them burning and going home. People poaching and shooting deer with a rifle during archery season. Spot lighting and shooting anything that moves at night Mike Scott of Superstition Creations in mesa has poached pretty much every species of Animals You possibly could in Arizona. And has them all displayed on his wall at home and in his shop. He is also a thief He will take your deer, elk, javalina, etc .and then tell you his freezer went out and everything spoiled and he threw it out. Or tell you it got lost at the tanner . He and his sister have a cabin in Tusayon near the grand canyon that full of hunter stollen animals. He been reported many many times and not once have I ever seen a game and fish at his door. Game and fish needs to follow threw with reports. Otherwise people just turn there eye and let shoot like this happen. How is someone like that still able to hunt ? How is He still able to do business? Why isn't he in jail? POACHER should be stamped on his forehead.

If you read the game and fish definitions for a crossbow permit and even a champ permit, they are wide open. Anyone with a failed muscle test can get a crossbow permit. Anyone with arthritis can get a champ tag. It's their own fault, they need to tighten up the restrictions by definition not drop the whole program all together. It's not abusing the system when the requirements are very low. 2
jdown Report post Posted Tuesday at 05:44 PM I vote to move it Champ and tighten up those requirements rather then try and manage two of them.

For all we know half the guys who have “legitimate” claims to crossbow permits are just soft and someone else could tough out their injuries.
