The seven guys that backpack, shoot 5 lb rifles and don't reload are going to be super pumped about this. I predict this is obsolete in 2 years or less.

Sounds like the next 6.5CM fanboy round and could really take off...and yes I have a 6.5...

The weak point will always be the case in some way. I don’t see all the big companies testing for over a year jumping into this new design not knowing for sure where it stands.
seekins, Christianson, fierce, Aark, and more are all offering 7 Backcountry for 2025.

go to minute 22 and see what was found out about MV extreme spread and SD's. The terminal ascent ammo after 47 rounds down range clocked extreme spread of106fps and SD 23.

That’s kinda the point. I think since  the 6.5cm manufacturers have figured out that an endless stream of “new” will always attract enough of the market

Yes but hasn't that always been true? Now with technology advancing at such a fast pace it makes it much more possible to create new cartridges and improve on old ones. People like to tinker, Browning, Weatherby, Ackley, Keith etc.

Not at the pace it’s been in the last 10 years

Ok so go shoot your hunting rifle 47 shots and tell me what your SD is. All barrels move as you shoot them.
Allterra rifles did a pretty good job on the info but they are missing the point.
it’s not about the speed or pressure it’s all about the short barrel. That’s all it’s about, not more accuracy or speed or distance. It’s about having a short 20 barrel with a suppressor for hiking into the hills and thick stuff and hammering a big coues at 300 yards with one shot and not dragging a 4 or 6 in longer gun through the brush.
imagine a 20 barrel and folding stock in your pack.

You currently own all of those? My list is a lot shorter, even including those that I no longer own.

22lr, 22mag, 9mm, 45acp, .223, 6.5CM
no longer own - .270, 30-06

I'm missing one in the 7mm-.30 family LoL

That's the point I was trying to make. Add AI into it and the next 10 years there will be even more explosive. Hope I'm still around to see all happen.

Ya just built over time, gifts and inherited. It’s a problem.
