Swaro NL Pures?

Recommended Posts

Good topic @Azoutdoors  👍

I've been considering 12x50 ELs and 12x42 NLs and the focus knob question does gives me pause so I need to get my hot little hands (like Dooneese 🤣 ) a pair of NLs to give the FK a try.

My budget allows for either, but I'm also a value kinda guy so if I can get 95% of the NLs at 70% of the NL price, well, that is tempting so we'll see how it plays out.

The focusing on the NL Pures is definitely one of if not the only drawback. I do feel you have to focus them more often and I also feel as though the focused wheel is a little bit too smooth I mean you barely touch it with a brim of your hat and you're completely off focus, I never noticed that when I had the els.

Where are you located?

if you are ever in Flagstaff I most likely can get both to look through.

Having said that once I used 12Nls I instantly sold my 12 ELs

My son ran 10 x 42 ELs and 15x56 HDs. One day in Mexico I made it run my 12 Pures. He gave them back 4 days later, then sold the 10's and 15's and bought 12 Pures.

To Answer the question. Swarovski came out with some new nl's 14x and 10x and a new 12x El Range. Everyone is selling to get the latest and greatest. Happens everytime. Same thing happened when the " hd" version of 15's came out and when the 12 nls came out.

Anyone else a 10’s or 8’s and a BTX kinda guy? Own the short game with FOV and 15’s can’t keep up at over a mile?

I currently have 10x32 NLs, 12x 42 NLs and a BtX.

The usability of the 10's in a chest harness has really surprised me

Thanks everyone for the information and insight into the ever changing "Mortgage your House" optic's market. Sounds like it's nothing unusual. I was a bit concerned with the NL's due to the recent uptick in pre owned sales. For now I'm going to stick with my 12EL's at least until I can pull a tag that warrants not only new glass but a new truck and a faster horse.

I prefer the 14s over 15hd all the way around,  clarity was a big difference for me. My wife perfer her 15 hds ,that is the reason I sold them. I ve been running 12 els and now nls since they came out and don't use 15s since the 12 s came out.

No issue with the focus deal some have mentioned,  I do know it took me a bit getting used to the els from non hd 15 s when I first started.
