bojangles Report post Posted Sunday at 02:45 PM Saw these bucks on my way to work last week in 4b and 3c. I’m not sure what’s going on in open units.

knothead Report post Posted Sunday at 07:25 PM Hard to believe but there was a time every time you drove around in those units you saw bucks like this. And it wasn't just during the rut. The Az elk population Boom of 80's - 90's, trapping ban in early 90's, and drought that began around 2000 has been the demise of mule deer IMO.

Years ago I read an article predicting the mule deer would be extinct within a hundred years. Unless there are some drastic changes it will be sooner than that for the desert mule deer. The drop in numbers in the areas I hunt in just the last 10-15 years is scary.

bojangles Report post Posted Monday at 02:50 AM I saw a nice 170 class 4x4 chasing a doe in 23 on the way home today. I forgot my phone, so no pic on this one. 😢
