bigorange Report post Posted January 5 I tried out a few yesterday at Scheels…definitely prefer the Sig over the Vortex for weight, overall feel, and quality of glass. Leica noticeably better glass than the Sig which wasn’t a surprise and comparable feel. Now thinking I may go with the Leicas.

I did not see a big difference in the glass (in store…I know the biggest difference would be seen in low light and edge clarity) for the 2 grand difference in price from the Leicas. I didn’t know you could get leicas for $1500. Must be old stock geovids or something? That’s a no brainer over the sig or vortex.

My understanding is the primary difference is the ballistics tools on the Pro. https://leica-camera.com/en-US/sport-optics/hunting/rangefinder/geovid/leica-geovid-r

Rotorhead Report post Posted Friday at 05:39 PM I have had the Nikons for about 6 years now. When I initially purchased, they had a 100% guarantee on both glass & electronics same as Vortex. At the time they were the only 2 options under $1000. When I sent them in a couple years ago to repair a broken eye cup, I was informed that they are no longer offering unlimited warranty on the electronics. Needless to say I was pretty pi**ed about but I have no complaints about the clarity and performance of the range finder. I tell all of my buddies it's the best money I've spent on a piece of hunting gear.
