Wild horses in unit 8

Hunted unit 8 since the  80s.  First time I ever saw a herd of wild horses 🐎 😳. 

At the cattle guard,  just before Whitehorse lake.  Just stood in and along the rd. At least 15.

I saw a group of about 5-7 around that same lake a few years ago.

The herd that hangs around Sunflower flats is owned by a local rancher that let's them free range.

Feral. 

Between the dang sheep, horses,cows and mountain bikers and idiots. Unit 8 has become a shoot show. Devil dog Rd has become a playground.

There are no ‘wild’ horses……they’re all feral and invasive.

The whole feral horses thing got me thinking.  This kid killed a healthcare executive and suddenly the whole world is talking about how mest up our healthcare system is.  

To be clear I'm not condoning gunning down folks but I do wonder if a bunch of feral animals were liquidated would this topic get sent to the front lines on the news and force game and fish and the forest service to actually do something about what we and they all know is a problem?

Or would the individual get hung out to dry. Thinking out loud here.  

My guess, hung out to dry even though game and fish should be backing up science. But if that was really the case would predator contest hunts be banned and would we even be talking about hound hunting?

Seen a group of horses around unit 8 for years and years, Seen the sheep herders with them a handful of times. One group of horses in 8 doesn’t mean much to me when you can literally see 100+ donkeys on a afternoon ride in 10 and call it normal
