What do I have? Is it a collectors piece? You might have something if it's in good/excellent condition and includes the original butt plate. I believe it should have the stock with the pressed fleur de lis checkering. Sporter or Heavy barrel? What is the chambering?
IA Born Report post Posted Wednesday at 07:45 PM When I finally got to looking into what I had with my grandpa's Rem 1100, I called Remington's customer service and they ran the serial number for me. I don't know if that's an option anymore, but something to look at. Other avenues mentioned above are great, too. Turns out my grandpa's 1100 was 1964 and among the very first runs of 1100s Remington ever made.
